Last Friday, the 2th of September 2011, the PAINT CLUB pre-selection Switzerland took place in the Rok Club, Luzern. This location is a playground for all kinds of people who like to be in an unelaborate surrounding where they can live their styles. It’s a forum that offers program and activity –thus it’s really made for the PAINT CLUB.

At the Rok Club people couldn’t listen to any hard guitar riffs -in the context of a HipHop party three artist teams competed against each other who couldn’t wait to breathe colour into the white canvases with all the colourful MOLOTOW markers.

Army of Snipers, Nevercrew and Mindless Fingers have been battling in just one round. Suitable to the motto of the evening, the topic „party“ has been chosen what’s been retitled to „blockparty“ spontaneously. In a breathtaking neck-and-neck race the teams had a crackling battle. With a narrow margin the Nevercrew won the competition, so they gained the coveted ticket for the international PAINT CLUB final in Berlin.

At the Stroke.Artfair, the biggest fair for contemporary art, the guys of the Nevercrew will meet 15 other winner teams from Middel- and Eastern Europe in Berlin to fight for the title „International PAINT CLUB Champion 2011“. To realize this unique art event we need active support! 32 artists from Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ireland, Montenegro, Belgium, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland need to get to Berlin. On our CROWDFUNDING platforms STARTNEXT and indiegogo everybody can become a part of the PAINT CLUB project and donate for the international final. Of course, your commitment will be rewarded with Urban Art packages or original self-made canvases.
