Боја клуба: That’s how it looks like when you write PAINT CLUB (Boja kluba) in Serbian Cyrillic letters. Saturday the 11th June for the first time PAINT CLUB took place in Serbia’s second biggest city Novi Sad. The collective of urban spectacles CLOUSE ran an absolutely amazing event at SKC Fabrika. PAINT CLUB manager Fabiane visited them and tells you the whole story:

| Actually it wasn’t planned to fly to Serbia, but in this case it was simply cheaper to send the package of MOLOTOW One4All markers with me as personal courier instead of commission an express parcel service. |

| I flew from Berlin Tegel via Zürich to Belgrade and was picked up by Aleksandra – member of CLOUSE – to drive the 100 km up to Novi Sad. Together with her friend Banysha she was the organizer of National PAINT CLUB Competition SERBIA and still will be. Because both girls did an amazing job after their debut has been such a great success! |

Novi Sad you may know because of the big music festival EXIT, which was awarded as best European music festival in the last years. The city and its inhabitants offer a mixture between old and new, trying to forget the war-burdened history and looking optimistically into the future with the big desire getting into the EU some day. |

The urban art scene in Novi Sad is slowly growing but there is great potential after I’ve seen such great artworks at the PAINT CLUB competition and at some spots around the city. One of the most famous and successful crews is the “New Point of Culture” crew. Within the first PAINT CLUB round they painted against the teams PS, UnderGrad crew and Bamboo Eyes (we introduced them here) to the topic “MAFIA”. But they dropped out after the audience and judges (consisting of Aleksandra of CLOUSE and the SKC Fabrika owner Alexandar) voted for the UnderGrad crew to come into the final round against the PS crew. |

This final round was really a battle how it should look like. Both teams fought hard for their victory and did their best to transfer the topic “FUTURE” on the canvases within 90 minutes. The PS guys had the idea to turn the canvas upside down to achieve the effect that drips go bottom-up. Audience and jury rewarded this idea with the vote to the National PAINT CLUB Champion Serbia. |
| We congratulate the PS crew for the entry into the international final in Germany this autumn and hope they have much fun with the new MOLOTOW 227 HS Main-Kit and the skateboards sponsored by ROPE. |
