We proudly present a trouper in respect of the Urban Art: a man whose real name and age are unknown and in the scene he is being called Kiwie. And there he isn’t a stranger because Kiwie paints since he was 3 years old and especially on walls since he is 8 – catching them early!
Kiwie is an artist primary but also an co-partner of the PAINT CLUB. So he was part of the battle in Latvia that took place at the Positivus Festival. That’s probably the biggest music and art festival in the Baltics so it can be assumed that many people got to know the PC. He confirms that there was a positive feedback based on very positive emotions.
He participates in events like this because he wants to experience fun and action but also to meet new people. If he doesn’t paint, he’s doing a lot of comercial stuff as an independent artist. Kiwie´s interests are parties, freedom, digital art, video graphics and particularly music. That’s why his biggest dream is to produce electronic music, which also inspires him while painting. For him the Urban Art „is that kind of art that makes you feel free“ and this freedom is also not to get influenced by other styles. Speakin of style: his aim is and was to create a new style supported by „a positive character bombing“.
Kiwie will be involved in the PC organization in the future too but maybe he ends up in other countries where he can sheare his experience. His suggestion: „We need to get bigger!“ and he’s right. Thank you Kiwie for showing us that Latvia has ist own style and is progressing all the time: „Here you can find everything from hardcore bombing to posters and stickers. We're small but with balls!“
