A couple of days ago the national PAINT CLUB competition in LATVIA took place for the second time. Again, 8 artist teams rocked the canvases at the biggest Baltic sea side festival POSITIVUS 2011 - one of the best places where PAINT CLUB competitions could happen...

Kindly supported by TBWA|Latvia, the national PAINT CLUB competition in Latvia was a great success. The event was hosted by Elvijs Ērglis and the jury consisted of
Digna Pilmane, Art Director @ TBWA\LATVIA and Aigars Mamis, Graphic Designer @ ASKETIC

The following teams participated, some of them the second time:
1. Bobs&Boris
2. Krasotaju&Biedriba
3. MurCrew
4. NECA
5. PIU
6. RAINBOW KILLERS
7. STIRNAS
8. VANDALLAR

After 60 minutes the first round to the topic “OUTER SPACE” the teams Bobs&Boris, Rainbow Killers, Stirnas and Vandallar reached the second round.
|
|
|
|
The remaining teams created huge illustrations to the topic “ZOO” with some crazy animal scenes. The audience together with the judges voted Rainbow Killers and Stirnas into the final, where 90 minutes had to be filled with nice spontaneous illustrations to the topic "TRAFFIC".

Almost when the final was out and Rainbow Killers celebrated victory with a glass of beer, it started to rain! So they hat pretty lucky with the weather. It would have been difficult to paint at rain..but who knows, maybe then we could see, who is the best in painting at any extreme situations.. :)
