The first National PAINT CLUB Competition CROATIA was set on 16th and 17th of July as a part of the xSTatic Festival in Split. This festival has a tradition of bringing together various forms of urban culture, focusing on graffiti, hip hop, break dance and various forms of extreme sports. People have gotten used to xSTatic and come every year to check out the show, and there's usually a lot to offer – like the PAINT CLUB!

Four teams were brave enough to accept the challenge painting a spontaneous artwork within a limited time and a given topic. They deserve massive respect for that!
|

|
|
|
|
The teams Hamele, Pigz on Diet, Power Puff Junkies and Art Lovin Kriminals were full of enthusiasm. After getting to know their MOLOTOW One4All markers, they were ready to go spontaneous, wild and creative, even though there was a lack of frames for the canvases.

After 60 minutes the first round to the topic “CHARACTER” was done and the crowd together with judges voted Pigz on Diet, Power Puff Junkies and Art Lovin Kriminals into the final round.

|
|
All three teams created huge illustrations with some funny trippy characters to the topic “SKILLZ”. Handling the time limit was not easy for everyone. But at the end each team can be proud of their first spontaneous artwork under the challenging conditions the PAINT CLUB concept has.

At the award ceremony the crowd voted for the Art Lovin Kriminals to go to Germany to the big international final at Stroke.Artfair where they’ll compete with 15 other winning teams from whole Europe. Congratulations!

The xSTatic festival and the PAINT CLUB were able to show that there is truly potential in the local street art scene. They gave input to do something new, to create things and not being afraid of showing yourself and your skills. And that’s our aim.
