There is going to be another big challenge on the german art scene next month. The digital design tournament Cut&Paste will be held in Berlin on February the 2nd. Cut&Paste is an event for all designers and art lovers, which takes place in 11 cosmopolite cities like London, Seoul, Tel Aviv, Tokyo or San Francisco just to name a few. The competition is held in 3 categories 2D, 3D and Motion/Animation. During 15-20 minutes of live competition a qualified jury chooses a winner. It’s a dance of visual artistry accompanied by DJ music, an MC host and the influence of active bartenders. The winner of the Berlin tournament is going to compete with the winning artist from the other 9 cities in the annual Global Championship in NYC. Offstage, the audience has the chance to bust out their skills in their own design round. This time Cut&Paste also organises a charitable design contest between the audiences. During fifteen minutes the audience is sketching a graphic that represents an activity they would do to raise money for clean water.
The Berlin event is held at the Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz on February the 2nd at 8pm. Before starting the competition Cut&Paste presents some live design performances by some of the best designers in the community. You could find more informations about the event on the official webpage. http://www.cutandpaste.com/http://www.cutandpaste.com/index.php/events_ber_en/berlin_en |
