Opening of the legendary STROKE.ARTFAIR & the PAINT CLUB Chamber. Everybody interested in the Urban Art, enthusiasts, makers, fancier and experts in Berlin should´t be missing this weekend in Berlin. For the fifth time ever and the second time in Berlin, there is the Europe's largest trade show for the Urban and Contemporary Art of the 21st Century, the legendary STROKE.ARTFAIR. At the same time tonight, the 14.10.2011 the first PAINT CLUB Chamber at The Weinmeister opens its doors.

As you enter the Post station at the Ostbahnhof station it is clear, why the creative director of STROKE.ARTFAIR, Marco Schwalbe, has chosen this location. Even the outdoor area is cleverly used and welcomes visitors with exciting live action. With the usual simple methods such as wood, cardboard, paint and staple guns the urban art sculptor Clemens Behr built a very impressive oversized skull. On the ground floor of the post station you end up immediately in the experimental world of the special exhibitions. The Modart together with 44flavours present themselves in a familiar relaxed atmosphere.

Personally, we were particularly impressed by the new educational approach on the STROKE.ARTFAIR. Marco Schwalbe shows little by little the roots and history of the Urban Art. Consequently, it is beginning with tags with which actually all started rolling. Also the founder of the CROMATICS have found through it the way to the urban art world. Next thing on the first floor is the almost "classical" part of the exhibition which presents contemporary galleries from all around the world in a diverse portfolio. And also here you can feel the progress. Even with the expansion on the digital art is the STROKE.ARTFAIR on track to surpass the initial focus of the Urban Art and thus accurately follow the evolution of the global scene.

The fifth edition of the STROKE.ARTFAIR is an absolute must for all lovers of contemporary art. It starts on Friday, the 14.10.2011, 1 p.m. with a lot of different stuff, such as the urban jaunt with Citroen.
