The PAINT CLUB goes together with NEW YORKER on a fascinating Battle Tour. From September, 9th to 27th 2010 it will visit 13 European cities, where two local artist teams compete against each other in an interactive, creative match.

Two-headed teams armed with coloured markers get a possibility to show their creative skills in a fascinating illustrative contest within 90 minutes. The white canvases will be painted according a given topic. Both teams can displace their rivals with strong motifs, esprit or irony. At the end the audience decides about a victory or defeat.

The organizers of the Battle Tour - the communication agency CROMATICS - want to establish an interactive platform for all urban artists worldwide. Talented illustrators, designers, comic and street artists get a chance to make a name for themselves in the scene and to step into an intercultural exchange with other artists.

The fascination of the PAINT CLUB arises through an interaction with the audience, a battle between the different teams and through a cooperation and a strategy within the singular teams.

Interested artists can sign up on www.newyorker.de and on www.the-paint-club.com. Deadline is September, 3rd 2010. Which artist team is going to fight for the win in each city will be decided by our competent jury consisting of leading urban artists, curators and art directors.

The artworks will be auctioned after each event. The proceeds benefit the Street Art Festival Absolut Bronson (www.absolutbronson.de).
